Does society have the right to forbid murder? If the majority sees abortion as homicide, then it has a right to forbid it. In the case of prostitution, it seems to me that the matter turns on one's suppositions about the effects on society of legitimizing it. If the harm to society is sufficient, than it should not be legalized. Overt businesses are not merely private matters.
