Former Chairman and CEO of Iwerks Entertainment Joins Maker of Advanced Technology Batteries as Senior Vice President of
Operations

HENDERSON, Nev., March 3 /PRNewswire/ -- Valence Technology, Inc. (Nasdaq: VLNC), a research and development company in
advanced, rechargeable, lithium polymer battery technology for commercialization, announces that Roy A. Wright has joined the company
as senior vice president of operations.

A veteran of more than 15 years in the computer industry, Mr. Wright, 54, was most recently chairman and chief executive officer of
Iwerks Entertainment, a Nasdaq traded company. He has also been the president and CEO of both RDI Computer Corporation and
Unison Technologies, Inc., as well as chief operating officer of Corvus Systems, Inc. and Victor Technologies, Inc.
