Eugene, in this industry you have to prove your products are production quality....just having the technology is not good enough. PMAT does have leading technology.....but little in the way of "Prodction Proof", so the big guys would be taking a chance buying PMAT. Once PMAT has made a sale that involves several units and gets repeat orders...then there will be credibility for their tools.

So far the only significant production customer has been Hyundai, they bought 2 or 3 etch systems for production....waiting for a repeat order.

Siemans has several Forcefill units....but little or no presence in US or PAC Rim so there has been very little visibility. T1 has tested them and certified forcefill for production, but still waiting for production orders.

Another thing is that PMAT does have limited capacity to manufacture and the big FABs may want some assurance that if they commit some FAB lines to PMAT tools....that they will be able to deliver....until then they may not get any serious commitments.

So if they can get some serious production customers and get high marks for support and reliability of their tools, also be able to show a clear bennifit in lower cost of production and higher yeilds, others may follow to take advantage to the technology.....then it's off to the races for PMAT. But they still have a ways to go to get to that point. And the longer it takes to get there...the closer the competition gets and narrows the technology advantage gap.

I'm sure if AMAT had any of the technologies that PMAT has....they would have been in mass production in FABs around the world.
