I don't know ActiveX from a hole in the ground. But after 20 years as a successful software developer, I can tell you one thing: Not me, not you, not Bill Gates ... no one, can predict the level of success Java may experience with the level of certainty you suggest. This business simply moves too fast. Like the rest of us, you were TOTALLY UNAWARE of what was going on with Java two years ago! It was not even a blip on the screen two years ago, and any developer who spent time thinking about Java two years ago didn't have much to do.
You may be right. If you are, you'll be here a year from now telling us how you are the new Nostradamus (sp?). If you are wrong, you'll be nowhere to be found, hiding behing the veil of the internet, arguing incessantly with some other group of poor souls.
I do not subscribe to the notion that he who shouts loudest wins the argument. Were that the case, you would be the clear winner here. |
