Actually, the compromise is to have the kids stop riding their bikes in the neighborhood. Which is what their parents have told us is going to happen. Fortunately, we weren't in the middle of the brouhaha because there are a lot of pissed off people. Parents are upset because they feel that the complainer didn't go far enough to voice her grievances with them before going to the owner. Neighbors are upset because they really don't like what the kids are doing; in fact the kids inquired how much the lot would sell for. As if they would buy the lot and continue what they're doing. Which they couldn't anyway because that use violates a covenant. Anyway, the issue is off the table for now.

I think I will try to buy the lot myself in a few years to expand our back yard.
