After the experience I am having at E trade I could not endorse them to my enemy, well OK maybe... But seriously, something has really gone bad at that place. The computer screws up and suddenly you are stuck - locked out in some hopeless run-around. I was told yesterday that I had full access to my funds so I attempted to make a buy: COST at 82 3/8 this morning. I checked later and the status of my order: bad due to no funds. Yet the funds are sitting right there and they confirmed as much prior to the buy. Check out the E Trade threads here at SI before you send your money to them. They (E Trade) are The proverbial big machine; once you loose it in there you wonder if it will ever come out. So what is it about DLJ that you did not like? I was not impressed with the cost of their commissions (which is why I went to E Trade) but I thought they had lowered them recently to be more competitive .
