Granted, I have been pounding on ActiveX and Microsoft and some of the statements being made that I find truly absurd:

For anybody that is critical of ActiveX, you should check out 'Genie-O's Pizzaria' prior to any future criticism.

This isn't about shouting, or fortune telling; it's about passing down information which appears to be well-known fact and jumping on false information as quickly and forcefully as possible. The future of Java isn't in doubt, for crying out loud. It just boggles the mind that anybody could actually compare this phenomenon with anything as mundane as the introduction of Pascal or ADA which did not have even a fraction of the industry support being shown for Java, which is much more than a language. If somebody as well informed as you has the view that the jury is still out on Java, then maybe we do need to get on the roof tops and start shouting.
