HISTORY As time progressed different uses for the Ultraphonic Detector were discovered; however, since the Pentagon restricted the sale of the detector to the U.S. Military only, the market was somewhat limited. For two years the company enjoyed success selling to the military. In 1989, the company began to seek ways to expand their market when the Pentagon removed that restriction late in the year. During the expansion planning period, a Nashville businessman, Jimmy Gayle, was hired to explore the potential of selling the device to the U.S. market as a preventive maintenance tool.
