Jim and Aloha Mike:

I left DLJ for two reasons: 1) the prices are just too high; 2) I bought a stock several months ago, at the "market price". I paid 7 cents more per share than anyone else did that day and after I placed my buy order, there were trades before and after mine that were filled for less than what I had to pay. I decided to bail out after I found out that they were a market maker in the stock that I bought. A little too much manipulation for me. A disclaimer is needed though ... I learned of DLJ being a market maker on one of the other boards on SI and I HAVE NOT done my own research to make that determination for myself, so I don't know for absolute certain that they are a market maker in the stock in question. I do like Waterhouse though except for the pennies! Though, there is a feature missing on Waterhouse that DLJ has that I like ... that is when you go to make a trade, the real time quote shows automatically on the screen ... at least that is how I recall it!

Jim, Good luck in your choice of online brokers ... by the way, I think I know how you can buy COST for a lot less than it is listed for now ... er, well, ahh, ..... just wait until it splits<ggg>!
