Jon, Good Question--Ask Bud Thorpe at MRPS if you get a chance....He told me the device picked up a nitrogen leak on a 'stack' outdoors at about 30 feet away when they did a demo at an industrial plant in Nitro, West Virginia recently. So I wouldn't think it would be too many decibels...but maybe it is, but since the human ear can't hear on that frequency.... Bob
