Your recent emails lead me to wonder if you are now employed in some way by Microsoft, perhaps professionally? Are you?

Absolutely not.

I just would like in a nice way to remind you that, when you post statements in public, that are going to be read by a potentially large audience, you assume at least some of the ethical and legal obligations of a journalist, because, in essence, that is what you are.

I also thought some of what you said may have crossed the line between public debate and personal attack and was borderline defamatory.

Not to mention that many of your posts drive me up the wall.

Ooops, I'm getting too personal here, so I'll retract that one. ;)

But, no biggie. It's not my place to defend Bill Gates, so I won't. And I'll leave it to you to take responsibility for the accuracy of your own statements.

Anyway, keep fighting the good fight. I'm sure those on whose behalf you are working appreciate it.
