one last comment-

There was a Bloomberg telecom conference in NYC today. At their presentation, US West stated that they saw ADSL equipment costs coming down ~50% near term, making ADSL seemingly more affordable to telcos. It was speculated that WCII's weakness was a result of the perception that this possibly rendered ADSL a more viable threat to BBFW.

Of course, BBFW's wireline competition is fiber, not really ADSL, so this seems to be bad news for ADSL companies dependant on already thin margins, but not that relevant to BBFWs like WCII, NXLK and TGNT (btw, TGNT was also there and closed down a modest 5/8)
