Cross Branding Continues to be Shining Star
Business Wire - March 03, 1999 10:05
LONGWOOD, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--March 3, 1999--Jreck Subs Group Inc. (OTC BB:JSUB), a franchise management company with 300 restaurants nationwide, has announced the opening of another cross-branding location with Mountain Mike's Take and Bake Pizza and Seawest Sub shops.

The store is located in Redmond, Wash. at 16156 NE 87 Street; it is owned by Judy and Marshall Smith. The last three weeks Take and Bake is representing approximately 25% of sales, annualized that will be $100,000 in new business. Judy and Marshall are very pleased with the results so far and believe there is much more potential, so much so that they are planning on adding Take and Bake to their other two stores. Ted Clark and Pat Yearout, who opened the first Take and Bake in the Seattle area continue to set sales records almost every week. Jreck also cross brands Mountain Mike's Pizza with Admiral J's. There are presently 8 locations, they also cross brand Lox, Stocks & Bagels with its Jreck Sub Chain in upstate New York. There are presently 11 of these cross-branded locations.

"Cross branding continues to be a major area of growth for our chain," said Chris Swartz, CEO of Jreck.

Jreck is an acquirer of contractual royalty revenue of only well established franchises, without the franchise risks since it does not own the individual franchise. Services provided by Jreck to the franchise include consolidated administration functions such as accounting, marketing and legal; combined bulk purchasing; and cross branding two or three concepts in a single location, enabling franchisees to increase sales and customer traffic.

Jreck currently represents eight distinct brands (Mountain Mike's Pizza; Georgio's Subs; Seawest Sub Shops; Little King; Li'L Dino Deli and Grill; Lox, Stocks & Bagels; Sobik's Subs; and Jreck Subs). The company's 1999 systemwide sales are expected to top the $100 million mark. For more information, contact David J. Alteri with Jreck Subs Group Inc. at 407/682-6363.

Except for historical information, this press release contains forward-looking statements that involve risks and uncertainties including, but not limited to, quarterly fluctuations in results, the management of growth, competition and other risks detailed in the company's SEC filings. Actual results may differ materially from such information set forth herein.
