Scumbria,

I'm considering purchasing some NSM stock very soon. I think they are starting to build a little momentum in the still relatively small windows terminal market with the Hewlett Packard, WYSE, Siemens, and Boundless design wins. They will be showing three new set-top-box designs at CeBIT. Pantera looks like a winner as does the one chip scanner solution. WebPAD is a hit in the making.

Recent reports indicate the analog and mixed-signal business is doing well.

We're left with the dying x86 PC solutions business and the dead LAN division. If they could turn things around in either, the company could be surprisingly healthy. The competition in LAN seems even more intense than that in the low-end PC business, so I'm writing that off for now.

I think MXi could be a solid player in the low-end PC business, but I want to hear what the status of this product and their "0.18 process" is.

The stock is priced like the company is going out of business and almost everyone hates it. The risk/reward ratio looks favorable here.

All comments appreciated,

Bob
