It's a marvelous play, probably better read then watched, as some of the best bits are in the stage instructions, set descriptions, and introductions: she assaults her chair by sitting down... He gives a brief rundown on the American and British positions in the revolutionary war, and follows it with: Into the merits of these idealizations it is not here necessary to inquire; suffice it to say that they have convinced both Americans and British that the most noble course for them to follow is to kill as many of one another as possible... And on like that. Great characters; his rendition of Burgoyne is fantastic, right up there with his Ceasar and his Napoleon. He sometimes handled historic characters better than the ones he invented. Getting back on topic, reading Man and Superman always made me suspect that he had a secret desire to submit....
