I think you are mixing up two stories here. Zip are at this time being put on all MMX machines because they are being given away by Micron. That does not mean that Zips cost Micron nothing, but it does indicate that it does not cost them much. The fact that the price can only be cut by $25 without the Zip, only reinforces the point.
