Kensington is expected to release their diamond drilling results next week. Rumours abound that they are better than first thought. The following updates on KRT are from Investors Guru, in case anyone isn't aware of this great source of information.
KENSINGTON RESOURCES LTD (V KRT) May 4, 1996 KRT touched its 1996 highs at $3.10 Friday and closed at $3.03. We expect a gap on Monday as rumours are being mentioned about their diamond results on 8 holes drilled recently. We prefer not to make investment decisions on rumours, no matter how enticing, and continue to hold the stock for the long term. April 27, 1996 Stock made new year highs this week at $2.95 as the word is getting out about their potential diamond discovery. Also, KRT released news regarding a potential Voisey Bay type base metal property in Northern sask. where additional claims have been staked. We expect news on their recent drilling of 8 holes with diamond results. Read our comments at Previous Newsletters.
April 20, 1996 SPECIAL REPORT Kensington Resources Ltd. V.KRT Friday close $1.67 +.09 on 159,050 We have been reading KRT's press releases and tracking its trading for 6 months with great interest. We knew that diamond stocks would run again this spring and feel KRT is next. We have seen V.MPV Mountain Province and V.WEM War Eagle double in the past few months. M.DIR Diadem Res. traded from under $2 to over $7 on their recently announced diamond find in California. If you compare the number of kimberlite pipes KRT has already identified with its joint venture partners to these other companies you will understand our great excitement for the stock short, near and long term.
We noticed 2 weeks ago a cross of over 4 million shares. This was a key technical signal for us that the stock is about to move. KRT usually trades about 50,000 shares per day. Friday's trading was a second signal that the stock was under accumulation. The third signal will be when the stock breaks its year high of $2. KRT's all time high is $4 which occurred two years ago. We don't like to set targets but feel that KRT will easily break that price over the next few months as they continue to earn their interest in the Sask. Fort a la Corne project as the drilling project has stepped into high gear. As a bonus KRT has a 50% interest in potential Voisey Bay type nickel-copper-cobalt properties in Northern Sask.
NEWS RELEASES - IN SUMMARY March 21, 1996 Lorne B. Anderson, CFO & Treasurer of Glamis Gold, is appointed to the Board of Directors. Drilling program on Fort a la Corne diamond project is proceeding on schedule, the first 4 holes have all intersected kimberlite and will be followed up.

Exploration findings to date.... i.e. number of macrodiamond bearing kimberlites found, highest grade holes from various sample processing and analyses, largest stone recovered and highest average diamond value recovered.

Kensington Resources - Investment Package Preview Diamond Recoveries Described as "WORLD CLASS" Diamond counts from the 1995 drilling program confirm that the Fort a la Corne kimberlite cluster could be the next great diamond province in Canada.
Fort a la Corne - "The Sleeping Giant" Cluster of 71 kimberlites is one of the largest ever found in the world. Kimberlite is the host material for diamonds. The province of Sask. has a unique geological environment for the occurrence of diamondiferous kimberlites. Protected by thick sedimentary layers left by an inland sea, Sask. kimberlite bodies have escaped erosion. Unlike most kimberlites in Southern Africa and the Northwest Territories, Fort a la Corne kimberlite bodies are almost intact with the full kimberlite volcano still remaining.
Fort a la Corne joint venture properties cover an area of 280 square kilometers. Among the 71 kimberlites in this project, bodies up to 1.6 kilometers in diameter have been identified.
Approx. 130 of the 2000 kimberlite pipes known worldwide are macrodiamond bearing. 23 of these are within the Fort a la Corne joint venture properties. 34 of the 45 pipes drill tested to date are diamondiferous.
The largest diamondiferous kimberlite contains an estimated ONE BILLION tonnes. Several contain at least 500 MILLION tonnes. One of the Fort a la Corne kimberlites drilled is more than 20 times the size of any known Northwest Territories kimberlite.
CLEARWATER PROJECT 50 - 50 joint venture with Uranerz Expl. & Mining encompassing a 520 square kilometer area in northern Sask. Geological characteristics indicate that a Voisey Bay model of nickel-copper-cobalt mineralization is likely to be found in the area.
The winter exploration program consists of a 2900 line-kilometer airborne electromagnetic survey followed by ground geophysics and drilling, if merited. |
