Best quick buck! Not in CPQ. If you can sit on it for the next several months, you may see a $ 60 as Dan Niles of BB Rob. Step. projected! DELL and IBM are going to sell off again by summer. The big institutional investors and mutual funds love the DELL/IBM deal as pension and 401K money, makes more money. The growing sub $ 1000 PC market is brutal. If you can't turn a profit in it, you are gone! You may eat the competition by cutting prices - but eventually you'll get eaten too! Only fat guys with lot of reserve cash like IBM can perform this kind of price cutting and survive in the long run. IBM has other businesses that bring in cash through the mainframe hardware/software sales. Outfits like Gateway and Micron Electronics are going to get hit! Compaq won't collapse, but its growth will be slowed down!
