You can transfer an entire account, including margin positions in most cases - but call first - just check with the broker you wish to transfer to first as they may not take an accccout where the equity percent is below a certain level.

A wire transfer should be quick ad easy BUT there can be problems. Transfering accounts out is a low priority, often takes way too long and accounts can be in limbo during the process - with the old broker saying they did the transfer and the new one saying they never received it.
