Jim, all, geez, I guess nobody else besides me watched CNN NewsStand Fortune last night, which featured Intel as stock of the week. I was leery of sensationalism over the Big Brother inside and AMD taking over the worldwide chip market, but it was actually positive for Intel. Didn't hurt having Dan Miles on. <G>
He said the CPU ID was no big deal (no flames, that's what he said) and bottom line on Intel stock was that they are one of the horses of the Nasdaq, along with Cisco and Microsoft. 'In 2 or 3 years, they will definitely be higher than today, maybe not straight line up , especially Intel, but they will be up.'
Didn't hurt also that the alternate opinion was presented by a no-name (forget his name). <g> Actually, he said that, because of Intel's far superior manufacturing and development, they would dominate for a long long time.
Tony
p.s., on the left coast, no conflict of the CNN bit with the Babs-Mon show, which I caught enough of to re-confirm my opinion of the whole situation as being lower than whale excrement in importance.
