Adobe was upgraded by Merrill Lynch: (from CBS Marketwatch) Adobe shares jump 11% on Merrill's upgrade By Brenon Daly, CBS MarketWatch Last Update: 8:43 AM ET Mar 4, 1999 Silicon Stocks Tech Report Shares of Abode Systems jumped 11 percent Thursday morning after Merrill Lynch raised its rating on the company to a "near-term accumulate" from a "near-term neutral." Earlier this week, the maker of publishing software (ADBE) announced a new version of its graphics design software that is expected to turn up the heat on rival Quark, which is privately held. Adobe shares shot up 4 3/16 to 44 3/8.
