Investors are waiting to find out if interest rates are going to move up. They are reluctant to buy stocks with such high valuations before the employment report due out tomorrow.

Alan Greenspan bases a lot of his decision to raise rates on these numbers. If the numbers come out and show inflation the market will go into correction. The brokers have been waiting all week for these numbers, since they are worried about a possible interest rate hike. If the rate goes up the market will temporarily go down.
