Gary -- I don't think that is quite right re Petrobras. Yours truly did the recent FGI semi construction deal with the Brazilian company, and I know that contracts with Petrobras are in two parts. One part is stated in US dollars. The other part, typically about 10% of the day rate is paid in Real's as part of the local operating contract.

The contracts are broken in to two parts, the drilling contract and the operating contract (for local services, labor, etc.)

It sounded like CXIPY was having trouble with the local services aspect of the contract -- the part paid in Reals. I don't fully understand what their problem was/is however.

I don't think drillers will have a problem with Petrobras.
