Anchor's stock is down in sympathy with IGT and their earnings announcement. But they also mentioned the proposed legislation in the press release. For those that don't know, the casinos are trying to introduce legislation that would prohibit slot machine manufacturers from being able to receive revenue from leasing machines to casinos and managing progressive systems. These are the same casino operators who used to be grateful to the progressive slot manufacturers for leasing the machines to them saving them the capital expenditures. It is absurd to think that anyone should limit competition in this way, but the casinos rule the government in Nevada. e-mail the Governor, Lt. Governor and Secretary of State and indicate your unhappiness as a shareholder of slot machine manufacturers.
