Merlin, I dropped in to check the price of AFLX- saw the price on AFLX at 3 1/2 and grabbed the phone to order more AFLX. But it had already jumped back up to 4 1/16th...Basically guys/gals Elena is correct that AFLX has a bad technical pattern currently although a couple of the technical signs are showing signs of improvement lately.

Be prepared to hold AFLX for a few months as it shows that its bottom line is improving. Don't buy if you think that AFLX may have financial problems. Do buy if you see a strong future in flex circuitry and flip chips.

I belong to the latter camp. I just came back from a telecommun- ications conference in Dallas last week. I was floored by the projected increased demand for telcomm services especially to support an explosion in long haul data traffic through 2005 (from 0.6 billion gigabits in 1999 to 13.7 billion gigabits in 2005- not to mention long haul voice traffic to increase from 2.0 billion gigabits to 5.0 billion gigiabits in the same time frame- and cell phones use flex circuitry). That data meanwhile is being moved through the Internet, faxes, and personal computers.

Also Intel at the Robertson Stevens Conference last week estimated that 1,000,000,000 will be linked to the Internet by 2005 up from 225 million - that's alot of computer, palm pilots or whatever. Also given the trend toward miniaturizaton, there's lots of room to grow in flex circuitry IMO.

Now will AFLX capture a chunk of that market? If you buy this stock, then that is the bet that you are making....

Sincerely,

Doug F.
