For the most part I agree with you but there are times.....

For example, I believe it was Jan. 23rd.

I noticed the options had an odd pattern..even with large volume. Even an advisory put out by a fellow named Hagarty called attention to it.

The futures were up 7, the OEX was chugging along .... yet the near puts were only down 2 and the calls only up 7/8.

The market tanked in the afternoon.

As for Pessimism, an advisory I received last night said he could not find one short-term bear. The closest was Arch Crawford...who will be bearish after the 18th.
