This may be old news, if it is I apologize. Amati appears
to be readying an assault on the marketing front. They realize
their licensing and royalty fees will take them only so far.
By the way, the recent drop in the price was probably attributed
to Zacks and others increasing this quarter's and fiscal year's
expected losses. Most recent posting was a -.17 loss for 2nd qtr
ended 1/31/97 and -.48 fir fy 97 ending 7/31/97. Since the Allegro started shipping a couple of weeks before this quarter ended, I wonder
if Amati will come in with a smaller loss than expected. This past
change increased the loss from -.11 to -.17/per share. That would be about a $3 million dollar loss. Hope they're wrong.Check out
