Here's a mind I appreciate. You know that freighter that's full of oil what's been on the beach up here?

They flew in this special tow rope, 3/4ths of a mile long and 10 inches thick ~ all the way from the Netherlands. (Shipping capital of the world?) Supposed to be the strongest tow rope in the world. Must have cost.....more than WalMart's. Anyway, it took three days to get here. They hooked it up, (not without embarrassment, because the clevis was bigger than the hawser pass thru on the bow), and then they tugged the front three quarters of the ship off the beach toward the ocean shelf edge to sink it. It would be so cold down there the oil would solidify.

They got it out 50 miles, finally, and the rope broke. MJ and I were watching the news last night.

She says, "We could've got a rope that will break in Oregon."

Ooooh.
