Andrew, I doubt PMAT is interested in being bought, insiders control over 50% of the stock. PMAT believes that they will be a top tier semi tool company by year 2000. At this point they are one of the few companies that offer products in three of the biggest areas in chip fabrication. Even LRCX and NVLS don't have the breadth of tools that PMAT has.

Also, AMAT has products in etch, CVD and PVD...so I see little reason for them to want to buy PMAT.
