I agree with you. I can't be good for Maxtor. I should think the market will not want to wait and see. They did some selling today, but rose off the lows. I think they will trend down from here until some good news can make up what must be some loss of business with Dell.

Does anyone know the level of business Quantum does with Dell?

But, I don't own Maxtor and don't really care. What I do wonder though is what may translate downhill to component suppliers. I do own RDRT and they have a big business with Maxtor, so I guess this is negative. I had hoped to buy some HTCH in the high 20's, but haven't. I think this news will be short term fine for them as to date Maxtor isn't a big customer, but IBM is.

We shall see. Will be interested to read cpoming opinions.
