Thanks for sharing that. Sounds like the article was correct that XYBR is indeed "working on" a $500 wearable. Obviously this isn't a current product (the MA IV is a $5,000 machine as everyone knows), however XYBR has stated publically (at Comdex) that they are working on the successor(s) to the MA IV. This should come as little surprise as every technology company always has at least two generations of products "in the pipeline" ahead of the current product offerings.

Given the current pace of innovation in the computer industry, I expect the "MA V" to be introduced at Comdex '99 and the "MA VI" by Comdex '00. It is thus reasonable to expect a $500 wearable to be on the market by late 2000/early 2001.
