Rotary engines (like in an RX-7) don't have any valves. And Mazda actually sold those worldwide. So this is not a disqualifier. The website has something to say about "porting", which might be how this motor manages fuel/air. Go figger; I'm no engineer. What bugs me is the website says all these wonderful things an OX2 engine would be good for. There are suggestive pix and neat-o diagrams, but I don't see a mature or proven product.
