And I own both PIR and BBA. It does amaze me that both of these home furnishing stores are doing lousy business in the current boom environment in housing. Any thoughts on this phenomenon? Maybe folks have taken on so much mortgage debt that they can't afford to accessorize their homes. Or maybe, between couples working, taking kids to and from day care, soccer practice etc. there's just no time or desire to create a pleasing environment at home. The house is now an investment and a place to sleep.
