I think you're hyping the stock. There are other real-world engineering reasons why DWM won't work, such as the DS0 line cards used by the phone company that digitize at 64 Kbps, but you can only count on 56 Kbps, due to bit-stealing, and that's been done. I have several well-equipped telecom labs I can use at my job, and if a DWM product was available, you should believe I have the capability of measuring the real throughput.
