3/4/99: G&K INDEX RISES TO 106.37, UP 0.45% The Index was fairly flat today, with 9 advancers, led by csco (+3 1/8, 3.3%) versus 8 decliners. The day held a lot of promise early on, with the dell/ibm announcement kick starting the nasdaq, but faded by mid day. Maybe tomorrow, with dell splitting... Any comments on msft/doj would be appreciated. Last week there was an article originating from a Seattle paper, that suggested Mr. Softee and the DOJ might be discussing settlement during the long recess. Please take the time to look over the G&K INDEX at techstocks.com I've run out of ideas for additions, and haven't gotten any nominations in a while (Justin is hoarding them for the G&K W&W). It seems there should be more than 17 companies that could qualify for the Index. Frank
