The problem is that CPU is not only experiencing structural problems (I assumed it was a turnaround candidate)...it seems that its management is falling apart - and that is the key difference. I don't recall BBY management pulling a stunt like this one on their shareholders. Could the stock be much, much higher in 3 years? Of course. However, I can't invest any more money in a company where I can't trust management.
