Hi BJ,

<<The drill pipe supplier has only limited responsibility. The operators have a responsibility to properly inspect each and every joint.>>

What if the operator had asked for an xray certification of the entire string but Weatherford said that they didn't have\need a current one and instead would represent and warrant, etc...... That would supercede the norm wouldn't it ??

BJ, I'm not saying that this in fact happened. But, I'm suggesting that "the norm" may not be appropriate here because Weatherford has apparently accepted full responsibility and the dispute is only about how happy the shareholders should be !! <gg>

<<It will be settled and I think you will find that the parties are not concentrating on the suit - They are concentrating on the day to day operations>>

I think and pray that you are right.

Have a pleasant evening.

Later,
grayhairs
