If you're looking for e-commerce potential, maybe you should be looking at domains served - this has been growing fast to about 16400 web domain names currently. Hypermart is reasonably restrictive in its policy really. If you want to see some overblown numbers, stale websites, cumbersome names that would not sell anything credibly then just check out geocities, tripod etc for comparison. The signup system at hypermart actually works, whereas in my cexperience the competition doesn't. This despite the disfunctional nature of the Internic registry currently. The Internic has been drastically upgraded recently, so that should be one obstacle out of the way.
