At Home Corporation to Join Nasdaq-100 Index Beginning on March 10, 1999
WASHINGTON, March 4 /PRNewswire/ -- At Home Corporation (Nasdaq: ATHM - news) will become a component of the Nasdaq-100 Index®, effective at the close of trading Tuesday, March 9, 1999. At Home Corporation will replace Tele-Communications Inc. (Nasdaq: TCOMA - news), which is being acquired by AT&T.
At Home Corporation, with a market capitalization of $12 billion, provides broadband Internet services to consumers over the cable television infrastructure. The Company's service allows residential subscribers to connect their personal computers via cable modems to a high-speed network.
