If you haven't heard it don't mean it ain't likely. GE really DOESN'T want to keep NBC. In fact, one could argue they've held it too long. NBC is starting its cyclical dip (it was long overdue), and GE would be well suited to dump it now.
No reason why AOL wouldn't be interested. It fits a media company's BP well (AOL is not an internet company...it is a media company). Look for AOL to make a move in that direction, IMHO.

As for MSNBC, depends on what part of the organization you're dealing with. The creatives think they are all "MSFT" people, while business and sales is all "GE" people. The source of the strained relations has less to do with who they are owned by and more to do with underperformance and the amount of cash MSFT shelled out for such a small piece of the media pie.
