I agree with your comments on Intel (what its effect could be)...I do not think they will warn., however...it is hard to imagine that Pentium III sales are not going well...that would be a first (time an upgrade failed so miserably)..
Yes, the Burke thread does make interesting reading, and they do keep you on your toes...I do find the condescending attitude a bit annoying, but it probably matches the euphoria folks have here for Dell! <g>
{But as I like to point out, there are some here that have made x,xxx% off this company in 3-4 years, and the company is a 20B, 170% ROI cash machine...if that doesn't allow for a bit of euphoria, I don't know what does}
But fair enough, what is past is past...Although the Dell movie has a ways bit to go, IMO...
One more comment about the Burke thread: Although there are some extremely knowledgable people, like many professors and economists I know, I think some are too tied to their own dogma..and are not flexible at times to admit clear mistakes in their logic....Some will not even accept the smallest of bullish arguments..that is unreasonable in my book to not think some bull arguments are valid/some bear arguments are valid.......we are not lawyers, and this is not a courtroom...we should be seeking a higher-level of discourse (no slam meant on lawyers, but often times their work is predicated on not giving an inch in argument, which often leads to poorer discourse and less truth..
