Hi, Jtechkid,
I'd be interested in hearing more discussion about what DSSI might do with Tower. I understand that you think that they would love to give TSEMF to its shareholders, but why? Do I understand correctly that an alternate scenario would be paying capital gains tax on the profits from a Tower sale? Wouldn't the company have some interest in doing that? The sizable remaining capital could be used to finance Comverge/ Powercom, etc. I also don't understand completely what the consequences of a Comverge IPO would be--how precisely would DSSI shareholders benefit? Would they be de facto shareholders of Comverge?
I agree with your contrarian sentiments about this company. It does seem it will have its day some day. I only hope that a marketwide crisis--which seems increasingly likely either because of Brazil, Japan, the rest of Asia, or the incipient Y2K problem--will not keep that day from its due arrival. All comments welcome. Would love to hear other possible scenarios of how this could unfold.
