Well i dont know if thats exactly the truth.i was attracted to clifton because i was bullish about the long term fundementals of silver and i bought the story that clifton was on the verge of becoming a small silver producer.i didnt buy it for any other reason.of course as we now know clifton silver mining strategy has all turned to ashes because we are told of their ore having a high lead content and the new governement regulations governing refining of lead containing ore .
forgive my suspicious mind but i find it hard to believe that these regulations came out of nowhere and that there was no advanced warning of these new regulations.i wonder how much insider selling there was of clifton when we were all happily buying it at over a dollar comfortable in the fact that clifton was on the verge of profitably producing silver.
now i am stuck with a company that i bought as a silver mine which is now going off to produce gold and sell some silver colloid product of dubious value. i personnally doubt that it can make a profit out of that either.there are very few profitable hard rock gold mining ventures right now at current gold prices no matter what the grade of ore is and no matter what the managers promise the cost of ore production will be they all seem to be loosing money.
so i for one dont believe a word of it ,regret buying clifton and wish instead i had bought a more established silver company like pan american whose price has held up much better and is actually profitably producing silver because i like warren buffet still believe in the long term prospects for silver but not in clifton mining. arh
