First of all, I have nothing against big pharma money so long as it is used to promote the public health FIRST before showing concern over profits.

Second, although I do not believe Viagra should be pulled off the shelves, I do feel that it should at least be black boxed to appropriately warn the physicians not to use Viagra in patients with CDV.

Thirdly, I believe that there has been too much focus on domestic scripts vs progress in international markets.

Everyone knows that the only important task left for Leland Wilson to accomplish is to sign a domestic partner. We also know that he is TOTALLY INCOMPETENT and therefore we should not expect any success on his part to be able to sign a partner in a "reasonable" time frame. I also believe it is this very reason that Astra/Zeneca will eventually sign up with Vivus. Did you actually expect Wilson to be able to broker a better deal with another player? I don't. As far as I'm concerned the man can not accomplish anything on his own abilities to negotiate and he will use Vivus' past and current relationship with Astra to sign a domestic partnership.

I believe that once the A/Z partnership is complete, Vivus will sign them up within 2 months. If Vivus is unable to sign A/Z within 2 months then Wilson will have no choice except to accept the best "other" deal on the table for a domestic partner.

And no, I am not bothered by big pharma $ from Astra or Janssen because I have no complaints regarding the ethics behind these two large pharma companies.
