If people just want to see the Dow hit 10K at what seems like any cost, then I'll be ready to start a shorting camping at that time. Personally, I can't understand the support for even today's level given, like you said, the pathetic state of the R2K. Just seems to me like the markets have lost contact with reality. I guess this was diagnosed with the internet syndrome of the past year. Can you believe analysts putting out buy recommendations of internet stocks which are already priced beyond reason. Go figure.
