There have also been historians and researchers who postulated that Christ was a wanderer. It was very common for people to wander the countryside for handouts and food in exchange for story-telling, performances, etc. This would require him to hone his skills.

I recall one Robert Tilton claimed he was a carpenter until his thirties before he started his "ministry".
