Back to The Future!

Mason,

A lot can happen before any bidding war for Immucor commences between HWP, JNJ, SERO, ABT, Diamed or Biotest in September '99. I so like auctions, don't you?

By the way, your HWP scenario just may play out. Time will tell!

Since the early days of my initial do-diligence on Immucor there was suficient evidence that Mr. Gallup wanted to grow Immucor through acquisition as well as internal growth. The acquisition strategy appears to be working. Immucor has purchased Dominion Biogicals as well as Gamma thus far. It is my guess that there will be a few more.

Prior to Immucor's purchase of Gamma I identified the following companies as potential acquisition candidates of Immucor:

1) Bio-Tek (Private)
2) Sanguin (Private)
3) Biopool (BIPL)
4) Bio-Imaging (Private)
5) BCA (Division of ABT)

Of course there are various reasons that each of the above may fit Immucor's business model. IMHO - The front-runner is Bio-Tek as they design medical devices from start to finish. In fact they were instrumental in the design of Immucor's current automated medical device family. An acquisition of Bio-Tek would further Mr. Gallup's goal of becoming an automated solutions powerhouse.

I look forward to the future with great expectation!

Regards,

Tom
