The Cornucopia Resources deal made Jon Kaplan's Gold Mining Outlook March 4, 1999 newsletter. He pulls quotes from the release, that IMHO puts a rather sarcastic spin on the deal.

I like the GMO newsletter, and am not sure what Jon actually believes (he kind of leaves you hanging).

Like Jon, I believe that the POG (and Gold Mining Stocks) will eventually take off but still like the idea of a passive investment in GBG. This way we can still participate in a future upswing in the POG w/o the risk of of a short term crisis because we can't pay our 25% of the drilling program. We also get the CHANCE to participate in the internet boom via Stockscape. Looks like we may be able to have our cake and eat it too!!

Any other takes?

I have included the URL for the GMO newsletter.

Regards,

Ed
