DSL has fatal limitation that makes it a loser. DSL can handle 1Mbps without problem. But when the bandwidth increases in the future, DSL is not as scalable as cables. Don't worry about DSL. Do your research and the more you research the more certain you know DSL will not be a competition to cable. But DSL will have a minority market share. Please note the future of Internet will be streaming data broadcasts that demand bandwidth of 1Mbps and beyond.
