KHS,

What this idiot does each day doesn't really matter. If he was able to accomplish anything important we would have heard about it long ago. Perhaps you are correct and Vivus already has a deal made with Astra that can't be secured until after the merger is complete.

I really don't give a sh#t about what Wilson does at this point. As far as I am concerned whatever he does is not important and doesn't justify paying this clown 350k a year.

The more I think about it the more I get disgusted at the absolutely lousy job that has been done in the management of this company. A group of jr high kids could have formulated a more effective plan in how Vivus would deal with the release of Viagra.

Although IMO Pfizer is getting away with murder on the Viagra label it doesn't change the status of MUSE domestic sales. How can we expect to see an increase in MUSE sales if nobody is selling it to the PCPs? IMO our domestic sales continue to be fueled by nothing more than old regular users who continue to refill their MUSE prescriptions or who get a new prescription when their last refill runs out. And considering the rather high drop out rate for ED products, I'm surprised that sales are still as high as they are.

Bottom line is that although international sales look promising, the Street is fixated on the domestic market and Vivus has not been able to do anything positive regarding this sector. Wilson claims that he KNOWS the importance of educating/targeting the PCPs yet Vivus has done NOTHING to reach out to this segment. Wilson claims he KNOWS the importance of signing a large pharma partner for domestic sales/marketing yet he continues to accomplish NOTHING on that front.

I have to agree with your assessment. My gut feeling is that Vivus will partner with A/Z after the merger and will eventually see itself bought out by the same. Vivus' power lies in the hands of others. Wilson has no power or ability to determine the future of Vivus. He is like a lame duck President just waiting to serve out his term. I hope that come the next share holder's meeting the need for his departure is made clear to all the board members.

If Vivus does sign a domestic partnership with Astra/Zeneca after the merger then what purpose if any does Wilson serve to this company? How can we justify keeping this clown on the payroll for 350k/year? At the very least we need to have his salary cut to the same decline level of Vivus stock off its all time high(thats a 95% cut or $17,500/year which I still feel is more than he should get for the lousy job he has done).

This guy has just got to go. I can't stress enough the importance of his departure in order for Vivus the company to once again prosper. There is too much stigma for Vivus with Wilson's name attached to it.
